Jungle Starfish
Pentaceraster regulus come from the phillipines. They are often used as
decorations because of their
durability and remarkable consistency in shape. Unlike brown starfish they don't have legs going off
at odd angles. They are usually orange tan in color, but there are variations. Because of their regular shape and durability,
they are somtimes used as "tree topper" decorations.

Jungle Starfish vary in size from about 2 inches to 9 inches
or more. They are a favorite on online shell dealers and at beachside
novelty shops.
The durability of Jungle Starfish also makes them good for eductional classrom uses.
