The Honeybee wing is, of course, its flight organ. The whole flight mechanism of the bee is a classic example of something that works just well enough. Bees actually don't fly very well. When a high speed movie was taken of bees returning to their hive via a hole 10 times the width of their bodies, the result was quite amusing. Only about 2% managed to hit the hole, the vast majority collided with the wall and had to crawl through the hole. Several even collided with each other!
