Lacewing legs are not short and stout like ladybug legs, instead they are much longer and more graceful, and green, much like the delicate appearing lacewing to which they are attached.

Like ladybugs, and most insects, lacewings have hooklike claws. In laeewings, however, the claws are attached to feet at the end of the legs instead of coming off at an angle as they do in ladybug legs. Note that the hairs, though too fine to be seen by the unaided eye, effectively double the width of the lower part of the leg.
