Plant louse?

This badly mangled creature was identified as a "plant louse". Well, maybe it is, but for all I know this could be the winged phase of an ahpid! What does it look like to you?

To say that whoever mounted this slide did a poor job is an understatement! Compare this to the well mounted, though somewhat overstained fruit fly. Both of the above mentioned specimens were on the same slide which is part of a set of 24 specimens on six slides selling for $13. I guess you can't complain too much about mounted specimens that cost only 54 cents each. This is better than a slide from another source which contained "silk" that bore a remarkable resemblance to feathers!
