This amoeba was interesting because of the mysterious red spot. I heard that amoebas stop moving and ball up before they divide so when this specimen did it I started to make a movie hoping to finally capture amoeba reproduction on video. Unfortunately, the water on the slide began to evaporate then the resulting current swept the balled up amoeba away!
